The challenge.
Slow and outdated
An ageing WordPress theme weighed down by plugins loaded slowly, especially on mobile, where most visitors were browsing.
Low search visibility
Services were grouped on a few general pages, so the business didn’t show up for the specific searches its customers make, such as extinguisher testing, hydrant servicing or AS 1851 maintenance.
No local presence
With no location pages, they weren’t ranking in the regions they actually serve.
Trust wasn’t obvious
Facility and strata managers had to dig to find the standards, coverage and credentials they need before choosing a provider.
How we approached it.
- 01
Discovery
Reviewed the existing site, analytics and search data, and mapped the services and regions that matter most to the business.
- 02
Architecture & design
Planned a structure with one page per service and per region, and a trust-first layout that puts standards and coverage up front.
- 03
Build
A React site pre-rendered to static pages, so it loads fast and search engines can fully crawl it.
- 04
Launch & migration
301 redirects from every old WordPress URL, a new sitemap, Search Console verification, and analytics set up.
What we delivered.
Individual service pages
Fire extinguishers, hydrants & hose reels, sprinkler systems, fire alarms & detection, emergency & exit lighting, fire doors, and AS 1851 compliance.
Service-area pages
One per region served, each with location-specific content rather than duplicated copy.
Technical SEO
LocalBusiness and Service structured data, an XML sitemap, clean URLs, Open Graph images, and 301 redirects from every old URL.
Performance
A mobile-first build tuned for Core Web Vitals, with optimised images and minimal JavaScript on first load.
Trust signals
Standards, coverage and industries served, made visible across the site.
The results.
- Pages now load quickly on mobile, where the old WordPress site was noticeably slow.
- Every core service and region has its own page, so they can be found in search.
- The client’s search rankings carried over safely, with every legacy URL redirected.
- Search engines can now read the business details, services and locations directly from the structured data.
- The site now reflects the scale and professionalism of the business.
